I and Hale were examining the globe as we identified the 7 continents of the world in preparation for her Science exam.

Asia, Antarctica, Africa, North America, South America, Europe, and Australia. As we turned the globe, she spotted “Tropic of Cancer” that was positioned somewhere north of the equator. Unfortunately, although it was properly labeled, it seemed like the label was on the ocean—that she overlooked the broken lines which it was actually representing. So she thought Tropic of Cancer must be the name of an ocean. Hence, she asked me:

“Mama, do the people who swim in Tropic of Cancer have cancer?”
